Note:
"Note to Self" still resonates with me the most and to be honest, at one point I wasn't quite sure why. First verse was written way back in 2015 when we were just starting this (at that time) acoustic “side-project” where we wanted to do something different even though that came with some unanswered questions. I tended to question myself a lot about my writing and music in general especially since I still find it difficult to find the right vocal melodies. So I finished the chorus that was about a person going through some hardships of her own and by the end of the year I completely connected to those exact lyrics as well (even though we never completely finished the thing). Fortunately when we started recording this EP the decision was made to give this song another chance; I realized how selfish it was of me to continuously live in a past when I started making progress/healthier changes in my life and with that, the closure was just about right to wrap things up; I've finally found the answers I've been looking for. Also, the brige is directly connected to the artwork that resembles creativity and getting out of your comfort zone as you’re trying to make your own sound alongside with your amazing friend. (Mika)
